Richard Kendall
In this brilliant but little-known silent film from 1923, Charlie Chaplin plays an escaped convict who steals a minister's clothes. This disguise leads him into a series of misadventures when he has to keep playing the part of a parson, including conducting a wedding and improvising a sermon. The screening of this unique film will be introduced by Richard Kendall.
