Scotland's a go-to for myth, legend, horror and weird sh*t from 1934's The Secrets of the Loch onwards, and The Wicker Man has a lot to answer for, including a terrible follow-up. Our history has been distorted and infantilised. Mark Furse, who spent three years researching his book Scottish Films, takes you on an odyssey to reclaim the clichés and reimagine our nation beyond ridiculous stereotyping and reduction of our country to a generic land of remote weirdness.
