China Coal Mine Art Troupe
In a surreal world of terracotta figures bound by rigid roles, each is trapped in an unchanging destiny. Armoured warriors must stare ahead, performers must always smile, and others remain forever fixed. A defiant cavalry figure breaks these rules, to be told they are only clay, not truly alive. Though doubt causes his body to crumble, he continues to move towards the 'red sun' in his heart. Inspired, others also rebel, forming a caravan journeying against the flow of time through ancient cities, marketplaces, and battlefields, each searching for meaning, freedom, and their own inner truth.
