Seconds delves into the complexities of heartache, loneliness and redemption through two women’s stories as they grapple with new beginnings. Sandra is a first-time mother living rurally, her vision for motherhood not working out, marred by colic and harbouring a secret. Jenny is heartbroken and cynical, reeling from a failed romance she thought would last forever. Her day-to-day dealings are interrupted by gut punching realisations that she is once again alone and navigating life as a single woman. The play follows both characters as they play the cards dealt, unaware of each other's part in the same game.
