James Willstrop
James Willstrop, cynical and driven only by his sporting success, is on the verge of becoming world number one in squash. A chance meeting leads to an agonising dilemma which threatens everything he has worked so hard for. Through tender recollections of his mother Lesley who died when he was 17, and by undertaking the hardest training session of his life in real time, he learns lessons about ambition, success and love. Daddy is a musical ode to beautiful mothers, sporting ambition and fatherhood.
