When Thiago is paired up with his prickly boss, Liam, on a crisis managing account for a venerated chef, each of them sees it as an opportunity to get ahead in their company. However, a dangerous dance of power, control and seduction ensues as both of their egos clash, bringing their innermost fears and desires to the forefront. As they struggle to complete the project, they each experience telling physical transformations as consequence for their actions. The Alchemy of Sadness is a play that explores how love and hate create bonds between people with surprising outcomes.
