Tanaka Denjiro and musicians from the Kabuki Theatre
Musicians of the Tanaka School invite their audience to discover the comprehensive artistic essence of Noh and Kabuki through live performance. Kabuki musicians perform without a conductor like an orchestra, and the performance unfolds with perfect harmony through tireless repeated practice. The performers will introduce essential background to the pieces as they move through the programme. With Tanaka Denjiro VII, from a famous musical dynasty including his father Kamei Tadao, drummer of the Kazuno School of Noh Hayashi and designated a Living National Treasure.
