Edinburgh Little Theatre
Accused of witchcraft, damned to Hell, this is the true story of Agnes Sampson, the East Lothian "witch". An innocent and humble folk healer blamed for storms and trying to murder the king. Armed with only her bravery and beliefs, she stands before the king and is subsequently tortured to get her confession. This tragic tale was echoed across Scotland with over 2,500 (mainly) women being executed for witchcraft. Edinburgh Little Theatre make this a must-see play in this year's Fringe.
