John Riley
John will spontaneously create music on piano, and organ based on melodies presented to him on the spot, and in a variety of styles. The audience are invited to present some melodies, including ones created from pulling random note letters out of a hat! The concert also includes conjectural creations based on the lives of great composers. John is known as an exponent of classical-style improvisation. He has written for various music journals and has given several workshops on improvisation for Cambridge and Oxford Universities. Entry is free and donations are invited after the performance.
