MacPhail Ceilidh Band, Brazilian Piper, RSCDS Dancers and Batucada Brasil
Beginning with a colourful carnival parade from the Ross Fountain to the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens led by the Brazilian Piper Pipe Band from Rio de Janeiro, followed by Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and Batucada Brazil percussion, and dancers from Edinburgh. Upon arriving at the patio area, the Iain MacPhail Ceilidh Band will already be on stage calling the audience up for the Gay Gordons to kick off 90 minutes of Scottish and Brazilian culture. An official event supported by the UK and Brazilian governments commemorating 200 years of UK/Brazil diplomatic and cultural relations.
