Refusing to accept the prophecy that he will kill his father and marry his mother, Prince Oedipus leaves the comfort of Corinth. After solving the Sphinx's riddle, he is made King of Thebes, ruling with wisdom and compassion. But when a devastating plague sweeps the land, Oedipus vows to save his people by uncovering its source – even if the truth leads him towards the darkest ordeal of his life.
