Jingkun Chinese Arts
A young man falls asleep – and lives an entire lifetime in a moment. Two performers move fluidly between multiple roles in an immersive dreamscape. Within this shifting world, ambition, desire and identity dissolve as time stretches and slips away. The expressive movement and vocal qualities of Chinese opera blend with contemporary theatre, retaining the musicality of the original language while remaining accessible. Poetic, atmospheric and constantly transforming, audiences are invited into a dream where nothing stays fixed – and where a single moment can hold an entire life. Performed in Chinese and English with bilingual surtitles.
