The Provocateurs
Dr Andrew Brown (The University of Edinburgh) examines how his grandparents, along with 400 other Polish refugees, found shelter, and an education, in the Edinburgh Medical School during WWII. Now Andrew’s found shelter there too – from Trump. Is history repeating? In 1985, women visited the Women’s Health Shop on the Royal Mile. Dr Karissa Patton (The University of Edinburgh) explores the history of women’s health information: from tales of snake oils, clinical trials and local activism.
