Northern Lights Theatre
It's 1928 and teenage actress Molly O'Day is Hollywood's newest star – and newest product to be packaged and sold. As her fame grows so does tabloid scrutiny of her body and Molly is told she must either lose weight or lose hope of making it in Hollywood. She goes to increasingly drastic lengths to conform to the industry's dangerous beauty ideals: from fad diets to the surgeon's knife. Featuring an original score, The Sculpture takes you back to the glitz and glamour of early Hollywood and tells the true and tragic story of Molly O'Day.
