Aviva Pearl Ocean Creation / PBH's Free Fringe
Violence tears Lip and Tarantula’s chosen family apart and the two trans women become estranged. Lip languishes in solitude, clinging to the past and her dream of making things exist by speaking. Tarantula enters cis-het society – marrying a man, getting a good job and undergoing surgery so that she can bear her own child. After a tragic “accident” leaves Tarantula dead, Lip takes Tarantula’s corpse home, steals her unborn child and begins to make a Shabbat dinner she believes will bring back Tarantula and their 26 children.
