Maria DiFabbio
A songwriter takes a solo road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains, hoping a change of scenery – and a lot of bluegrass – will bring her closer to the life she wants. But what begins as a flight of fancy becomes something deeper, as love and music intertwine through charged memories, imagined futures and conversations with her musician father. Along the way, women travellers who came before her appear, echoing her longing for both freedom and connection. Trunk Songs is a summer awakening exploring the art of skipping town, and making music of your heart's desires.
