Dru Cripps: Juicy Bits

In possibly the first show of the dead supermarket comedy genre, Paul looks at how, as a socially isolated sixth former, he found solace in the aisles of 00s supermarket Somerfield. Paul spent up to two hours a day relaxing in his beloved Stretford branch but when the store closed, Paul expererienced the five stages of Supermarket Grief. The show features original cassette recordings from 2007 of Paul discussing his heartache.  'Paul Campbell is the kind of genius the fringe needs. Alvin Bang and Eva Peroni bring a split-bill so funny it defies international law. Alvin and Eva Break the Geneva Convention is a radical split hour from two of Scotland's fastest progressing new acts who are not afraid to tackle big topics like the class struggle and international war crimes. Alvin Bang is 'one to watch' (Rosco Mcclelland). Eva Peroni is 'wonderful, a real joy to watch' (Vladimir Mctavish).

A solo silent clown show about a time traveler who needs the audience's help to recover the defining moments of his life. "It Was Really Good to Know You" takes audiences through time and space, from the prehistoric period of the caveman to the disco era of the 70s. Featuring showdowns in the wild west and express mail deliveries across the galaxy, this engaging story invites audiences to embrace the unexpected and explore the beauty of human connection.

It’s a show about trying to integrate into British culture without losing their identity – or their temper. Alex Owen-Hill: The Alien’s Guide to Talking to Humans

A lonely moon, a dirty nun, a pensive hunter with no gun… quiet little worlds come to dazzling life at the hands of these eccentrics as they fight to suppress their wildest – and most lovable – selves. Tender and ridiculous, Moonkid is a wandering journey through the forlorn, the pretentious, and the divine. American performer Lucy Ellis presents this assured and joyous solo debut, a crash course in yearning, ambition, loneliness and freedom.

The show puts the TIT in mul-TIT-udes as Tara attempts to balance the weight of the world on her chest with music, dancing, outfit changes AND infinite items from her bra. Through this wacky combination of storytelling, clowning and audience participation, mul-TIT-udes takes viewers on a wild ride to uncover EVERY version of Tara – from pig wrastlin’ Texan to proud Puerto Rican – and all iterations between. By the end, the audience might discover a new layer of themselves.
