If you’re new to the city, Edinburgh can be quite a daunting experience – there’s so much going on it can be hard to know where to start! Here are a few tips to help you get the ball rolling:
See Fringe shows
We might as well get the obvious one out of the way first: go see some shows! There are around 3,800 of them to choose from – if that number feels unmanageable, use the search filters on edfringe.com and the official EdFringe app to narrow down your criteria, focusing on the dates, times and genres that suit you.
Visit the Fringe Street Events
The Fringe isn’t restricted to the many venues around the city – some of the world’s greatest street performers come to the festival to wow audiences in the open air. From festival artisans and living statues to buskers, circus acts and grand finale performances, there’s so much to see – just remember to donate generously at the end of each show!
