Ali Woods
Speaking from 12 years of live comedy experience, Ali Woods has a lot of solid advice for Fringe goers and performers alike. He looks back on his early career and consecutive Fringe gigs, then the viral success of his social media content.
Woods’ relatable skits and sharp humour have found keen audiences on and offline, with his undeniably infectious stage presence earning him multiple Fringe successes. Hear more about his approach to getting over the beginners’ cringe-factor and making the most of the Fringe each year.
Amelie Peters
The singer and vocal coach behind Sink or SING! explains how artists in Australia view the Adelaide-Edinburgh Fringe connection and what it's been like for her bringing a show around the world. We explore the start of her singing career and the ethos behind Sink or SING!, a sing-your-heart-out vocal spectacle that celebrates the empowering – and too often, exclusive – potential of collective singing and vocal training. Hear her advice on touring, finding your community at the Fringe and getting your head around the Fringe in advance.
Bernie Dieter
Bernie is no stranger to the inner workings of an unforgettable Fringe show. Pitching up for the first time in 2012 as part of a musical comedy duo, she has gone on to develop a world-class brand of punky, raunchy, powerful cabaret that has filled out spiegeltents worldwide.
We hear Bernie’s thoughts on the importance of live performance during increasingly disconnected and polarised times, and why the cabaret-circus format is such an effective forum for social commentary. Real words of wisdom from one of Edinburgh Fringe’s truly boundary-pushing divas.
Chloe Petts
Chloe Petts brings her incomparable levels of chat to the sofa with us, where we delve into her experience of coming to the Fringe at 16, then returning as a rising comedian, and now, how she stays on top of their craft during the three-week run. With an impressive list of TV and stage credits to her name, Chloe is a queer comedy talent to keep your eye on, bringing slick wit and cool-tempered fresh takes to every stage, screen, and couch she find themself on.
This isn't her first rodeo – Chloe is seasoned to advise on the dos and don’ts of the Fringe, delivered with some characteristically wry cautionary tales thrown in.
Christopher Hall
With a career spanning musical theatre, digital content creation, and showstopping standup, the multi-talented Chistopher Hall has plenty to share about the Fringe experience and how to approach an Edinburgh summer.
Together, we cover his collaborative process, how his dance background relates to his stage work, how he builds up a show, and switching lanes from dance to comedy.
Gianmarco Soresi
We caught Gianmarco at the start of his sellout run at the Fringe. Known for sharp crowd work, insightfully silly satire, and spry stage presence, Soresi talks first impressions of Edinburgh, his thoughts on touring outside of the US, and how feedback from Fringe festivals prompted his step into comedy.
The Fringe has been in Gianmarco’s sights for years as a way to enrich his practice. Our chat covers how he had to push to bring a show here, and what he’s hoping to gain from absorbing the Fringe’s creative environment. Find out which shows he’s looking forward to and the artists inspiring him at this year’s Fringe.
Grace Helbig
The stand-up comedian, internet personality, and New York Times bestselling writer shares her experience gaining recognition during the early years of the YouTube content creation boom. We deep dive into the psychology of online para-sociality and the major milestones Grace has reached both in her career and personally.
While ticking off the Fringe from her bucket list, this month-long run was Grace’s way of proving the validity of content creators in mainstream media spaces. Despite her impressive credit list – covering TV, webseries, her own talk show, and a feature length film – she shares how online creators were first received by their peers in traditional formats. We touch on the topic of Grace’s show, a stand-up set addressing her recent breast cancer. By inviting people to laugh with her, comedy has been medicinal for Grace as she processes the experience.
Pierre Novellie
The South African-born, Isle of Wight-raised comedian discusses the changing comedy landscape, the shape of the year as a comic, digital challenges, and experimenting with different genres at the Fringe. We get into how different artists utilise and reap the rewards of the Fringe, whether it’s a 30-day scratch night for development or an opportunity to showcase a finished piece of work.
A versatile comic talent, Novellie works across TV, radio, and as a writer, with his 2025 show Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? enjoying a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Tom Cashman
Australian comic Tom Cashman shares his thoughts on the Fringe experience, the global comedy circuit, and how to make the most out of a Fringe run. Cashman segued into comedy from a law career in his late twenties – a background that's now folded into his signature style of withering analytical reads, taking everyday absurdities to court through hysterical cross examinations.
