The following terms and conditions apply to our Fringe participant survey, sent out to primary contacts with registered Fringe shows between 2018 and 2021.
- The promoter is the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society (Registered Charity SC002995) whose registered office is at 180 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1QS, United Kingdom.
- The competition starts on the day the survey is released and will end at 17:00:00 on 13 December 2021. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- Employees of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
- To be eligible for the prize draw, entrants must complete the Fringe participant survey. The prize winner will be selected at random from the qualifying entries within three working days of the survey closing date.
- By entering the competition, you give consent for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society to use your name and any other personal details you provide for promotional/marketing purposes.
- The prize is a unisex Fringe hoodie in blue or navy blue, posted anywhere in the UK (1st class), EU or Rest of World (standard class). The Fringe Society will contact the prize winner for their colour choice and size.
- The entrant must be aged 18 or over.
- The Fringe Society will contact the winner by email. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the close of the survey, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant. The prize will be distributed within 24 hours of being claimed by the appropriate postage method.
- The winner may be required to show proof of identity. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
- All entries must be made directly by the competition entrant. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
- The competition is in no way associated with, sponsored or endorsed by MailChimp, SurveyMonkey or any other social media site where the competition is promoted.
- Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be disqualified without discussion.
- Confirmation of the prize and instructions for delivery will be made to the winner by email via the email address provided on the survey.

- To be eligible for the prize draw, entrants must complete the Fringe audience feedback survey. The prize winner will be selected at random from the qualifying entries within three working days of the survey closing date.
- The prize is a £100 e-gift voucher for the winner’s choice of retailer.
- The entrant must be aged 18 or over.
- Scotinform will contact the winner by email. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the close of the survey, the Scotinform reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant. The prize will be distributed within three working days of being claimed.

Schools Poster Competition 2018
- The competition is only open to pupils studying in Primary 1 to Senior 6 as part of the 2017/2018 academic year from schools in Scotland.
- Entries must be received by 17:00, Friday 09 March 2018. Late entries will not be accepted.
- Teachers entering scanned images of artwork must retain the original artwork. If shortlisted for exhibition, we will require the original artwork to be sent.
- Only posters that win a place in the exhibition will be retained by the EFFS. We cannot return or offer collection for any other entries due to the scale of entries we receive. Posters featured in the exhibition can be collected from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society office from Monday 03 September 2018
- Entrants in the Fringe Schools Poster Competition 2018 shall assign to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society in perpetuity, all copyright of their artwork.
- The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society reserves the right to use part of, or the entire image of, the artwork submitted to the Fringe Schools Poster Competition 2018 on any Fringe merchandise or promotional material.
- Submissions that do not meet the deadline, entry specifications or are not labelled clearly will not be considered.
- The Schools that have shortlisted posters (including the winners and regional winners) will be notified in May 2018 by post and email. All communications will be done through the nominated contact at the school.
Participants survey prize draw 2017
The following terms and conditions apply to our Fringe participant survey, sent out to all primary contacts with registered Fringe shows in 2017.
- The promoter is the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society (Registered Charity SC002995) whose registered office is at 180 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1QS, United Kingdom.
- The competition starts on the day of the survey is released, and will end at 23:59:59 on 31 October 2017. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

- To be eligible for the prize draw, entrants must complete the Fringe participant survey. The prize winner will be selected at random from the qualifying entries within three working days of the survey closing date.

- The prize is a unisex Fringe hoodie in blue, charcoal grey or navy blue, posted anywhere in the UK (1st class), EU or Rest of World (standard class). The Fringe Society will contact the prizewinner for their colour choice and size.
- The entrant must be aged 18 or over.
- The Fringe Society will contact the winner by email. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the close of the survey, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant. The following terms and conditions apply to the edfringe shop prize draw posted on Monday 17 July 2017 by the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society social media channels.
- The promoter is the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society (Registered Charity SC002995) whose registered office is at 180 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1QS, United Kingdom.
- The prize draw starts on 17 July 2017 at 12:00:00 and ends at 17:30 on 29 September 2017. All prizes must be claimed by the closing date, 17:30 on Friday 29 September 2017.
- To be eligible for the prize draw, entrants must purchase a JustBe Fringe chocolate from the edfringe shop at a retail cost of £2.75 and find a winning ticket inside the chocolate bar packaging.
- To claim a prize, the customer must present the winning ticket to a member of staff in the edfringe shop during opening hours (https://tickets.edfringe.com/box-office) Prizes must be claimed by 17:30 on 29 September 2017. A staff member of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society will then provide the prize winner with either the prize itself or a voucher with details on how to redeem the prize.
- Prize winners will be asked to have their photo taken on redemption of the prize-winning ticket which will then be posted on Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s social media channels. This is optional.

- Closing date for entry will be 12 noon on Friday 22 August 2014. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- The entrant(s) must be aged 18 or over.
- All images submitted must be the work of the individual who posts them. It is the responsibility of the individual entering the photograph into the competition to ensure that the permission of the subjects has been granted and that the images do not infringe the copyright of any third party or laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they submit is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
- When collecting your prize, proof of identity may be required. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
- All entries must be made directly by the competition entrant.
- The competition is in no way associated with, sponsored or endorsed by Facebook, Twitter, G+ or any other social media site where the competition photographs are uploaded.
- Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be disqualified without discussion.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- In the event of a prize being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
- The Fringe Society will make reasonable effort to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted two weeks after the closing date of the competition, the Fringe Society reserves the right to offer the prize to the another eligible entrant.

- The promoter is the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society (Registered Charity SC 002995) whose registered office is at 180 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1QS, United Kingdom
- Entry is open to residents of the UK only.
- Employees of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
- Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via https://twitter.com/edfringe. The prize is an “I’m with boring” T-shirt and a “Get #unbored” foam finger.

- Posting duplicate, or near duplicate, updates or links is a violation of the Twitter Rules and jeopardizes search quality. Multiple entries in a single day will not be accepted. Anyone found to have entered the competitions using multiple accounts to enter will be ineligible.

- Confirmation of the prize and instructions for collection of the prize will be made to the winner via twitter. For this reason, entrants must be followers of the @edfringe Twitter account to qualify for entry to the competition.
- The winner chosen at random is final and no correspondence will be entered into over this decision.
- The Fringe Society reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
- The Fringe Society is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party.
- No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Winners will be chosen at random from all entries received. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The promoter will notify the winner how the prize can be collected via twitter.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
