Nominations to stand for election to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society Board of Directors are now open for 2023. 

Members of the Fringe Society have the opportunity to shape this amazing festival by voting in the upcoming election. The Fringe Society Board of Directors are directly involved in overseeing the future of the Fringe as well as providing governance and guidance to the Chief Executive and Fringe Society staff. 

The Fringe Society exists to:

  • Support, advise and encourage everyone who wants to participate in the Fringe.
  • Provide information and assistance to help audiences curate their own Fringe experience.
  • Celebrate the Fringe and what it stands for all over the world.
  • Ensure the Fringe Society is sustainable, utilising its resource to the greatest benefit of the Fringe and its constituents.

There are five available seats this year:

  • one in the Show Participant category
  • one in the Open category
  • three in the Venue category.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society must receive all nominations by 12:00 noon on Thursday 13 July 2023.   

You need to be a member of the Fringe Society to:

  • stand for election
  • nominate other members for election
  • vote in this year's board elections.
