Diary of a Madman from NoPerks Theatre (Quaker Meeting House) has been named the winner of this year’s Dupliquick Printing Zebra Awards for Best Fringe Poster Design.

Admired for the bold simplicity of its design, the judges felt the poster to be the most eye-catching and original of the finalists.

The runners-up were Faustus and the Snakes from Act One (theSpace on the Mile) and The Man in the Moone from Rhum & Clay Theatre Company (Pleasance Courtyard).

Nigel Harper, a director of Dupliquick, said “This is the ninth year of the awards and we received over 150 entries.

“Dupliquick Printers would like to thank everyone who entered this year's Zebra Awards and also the judges for their time.

“We hope to be able to sponsor the Awards in 2014 and we also plan to mount an exhibition at next year’s Fringe of the 30 winning posters from all 10 years of the Dupliquick Printing Zebra Awards."

The annual competition, which has been running since 2004, is open to every show registered with the Fringe Society and offers a cash prize of £250 for the winner as well as £250 worth of printing for the winner and two runners-up.

Dupliquick drew up a shortlist of 20 posters which were then considered by a panel of expert judges on Monday 22 July.
