Entries are open for the 2011 Zebra Awards for the Most Original and Effective Printed Publicity.

The annual competition, which has been running since 2004, is open to all Fringe performers and offers a cash prize of £250 for the winner as well as £250 worth of printing for the winner and two runners up.

The judges of the Zebras have marked out three criteria:

  • Eye-Catching - Judges have said that most importance will be given to the immediate appeal of the artwork, including impact, originality and style.
  • Informative - The quality and design of the information given on the artwork will also be weighed up in the decision making process.
  • Marketable - The overall marketing effect of the artwork will be considered - the judges will ask ‘why does it make me want to see this show?’
Last year saw over 200 hopefuls enter, with the top prize ultimately going to Roundhouse Production’s Lipstick.

The deadline for entries this year is Friday 29 July and anyone wanting to enter should visit the Zebra Awards here.
