The Fringe Central Events Programme is part of the service the Fringe Society offers to all those registered at the Fringe and delivers a series of professional development workshops, seminars, discussions and creative labs throughout the month of August.

The programme’s overall aims are to; develop skills, expand perceptions, build networks, advance careers and aid in the health and well-being of all those involved in a Fringe show.

We are currently looking for expressions of interest for the 2019 Fringe Central Events Programme. There are a number of recurring programme sections which are detailed below. For 2019, we have a strong interest in developing our Health and Wellbeing (with a particular focus on Mental Health) and Breaking Down Barriers sections. For the second year running, we have recruited a Youth Panel to help guide the Fringe Central Events Programme from curation to delivery, the event selection and content of each section will be influenced by their suggestions and interests.

In line with our continued commitment to support participants in an open and impartial manner, all events presented within Fringe Central must:

  • Be free to attend
  • Be open to anyone taking part in a Fringe show
  • Not be used as a promotional tool for any Fringe show
