This winter we are excited to launch the Fringe Shop craft fair, which will take place from 10:00 till 17:00 on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November 2023 at the iconic Fringe shop on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, with accessible entrance to all.

The fair will showcase the talents of local crafters, creators and artisans, as part of our plans to broaden our retail offering and allocate more space to support artists throughout the year. We welcome makers of all backgrounds, from well-established to emerging artists, with an emphasis on promoting Scottish-made products.

Want to take part?

Our application process operates on an open-call basis, with no pre-selection outside of the application procedure. Submissions must showcase original designs, and we do not accept factory-produced or pre-purchased items for resale. All goods presented must embody originality in design, and duplicates or goods under existing licenses will not be considered. We welcome a diverse range of works, from students to hobbyists, provided the work meets our criteria of originality and high quality.

When reviewing applications, we carefully consider table size based on stock levels and the dimensions of the goods. Our shop space allows for additional elements such as graphics, shelves, hangers and a limited selection of mannequin busts behind the tables. Booking forms for these additional items will be provided upon successful application. We reserve the right to decline specific items that do not align with our vision.

To apply, please email [email protected] with the subject line "Fringe Shop craft fair application", and include the following information:

  • A minimum of five images showcasing the work you intend to sell.

The shop has free wifi access that will be available to all exhibitors. Electrical sockets and extension cables will be available on a limited basis.
