The Fringe Arts Industry office can help offer help and guidance navigating the world’s largest arts marketplace – the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. 

Whether this is your first Fringe or your fifteenth we can help you get the most out of your festival experience. If you’re new to the Fringe, we can share local knowledge on finding your way around Edinburgh, as well as info on what events you might like to attend. If you’re a Fringe pro, we have expert insider knowledge on what shows might suit your venue, which artists are keen to tour or who’s looking for an agent.

During the Festival the Arts Industry Office is based at Fringe Central; the dedicated hub for all participants, media and arts industry professionals at the Fringe.

Fringe Central is run by the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, a charity that was established by participants to be the custodians of the Fringe, helping audiences and participants navigate the single greatest celebration of arts and culture on the planet.

Access at Fringe Central

The Arts Industry Office is located on the first floor of Fringe Central which has lift access and is fully accessible. The Arts Industry team work closely with the access booking team and can help with the planning of your trip to the Fringe. You can always drop us an email to discuss any part of your trip or concerns on [email protected].

The Arts Industry Office can provide accreditees with 1-2-1 meetings in order to help support in navigating the Fringe. We can provide bespoke guidance on finding shows within your programming remit, navigating Edinburgh as a city and filling you in on some of our must-attend events hosted by us and our partners.

Aside from our Arts Industry offering, Fringe Central is also a hub for artists, which means there’ll always be someone around worth talking to. We host over 100 professional development and networking events aimed at performers, media and the arts industry, so feel free to show up to any that catch your eye – if nothing else, it’s a great place to mingle with engaged, inquisitive artists. The relationships formed between artists and arts industry at the Fringe are at the heart of what makes the festival special.

The Fringe is the biggest arts marketplace in the world, which makes it an unparalleled opportunity to network with international arts industry figures.

We’ll be hosting two special networking events open to artists and industry on Sunday 11 and Sunday 18 August. They’ll have keynote speakers talking about two of the central themes that have come out of this year’s Fringe. They’ll also be unique opportunities to network with the artists and colleagues who might not just make your Fringe, but be a key part of your next 12 months.

Programmers and presenters with a significant track record and ability to buy work may be granted access to our complimentary ticketing service. To be considered for complimentary ticketing, you will need to provide evidence of your ability to book work during the accreditation process.

This service is not designed to subsidise the cost of tickets altogether but rather to help accreditees see a greater quantity and range of work than their own budgets allow.

The Arts Industry Office is open throughout the year for questions and queries about accreditation or attendance at the Fringe.
